my portable hard drive doesnt work!!!!! i've only just tried to watch SPN on it and it wont work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the computer doesnt acknowlege that it exists!

Can't help with the immediacy, but you should be able to get stuff recovered from it without too much difficulty. My mum managed to restore almost everything I thought I'd lost permanently - even though I'd *deleted* the files from my USB, this computer repair shop managed to retrieve it all.

Keep trying next time you turn the laptop on. Mine plays silly beggars a lot of the time, and the old turn it off and turn it on again trick is often the only solution... I hope things do work out, though!

it was atatched to my laptop when the storm hit... and i think the cable got wet... and i must have got wet... i remember drying it when i was drying everything, and i hadnt used it since then...

gah... ALL of SPN man!!!!! this just isnt the month for electrical equipment is it? first your laptop, then Elle's hard drive, now my hard drive.
