Jack Bear's Great Coat
Nov. 9th, 2008 10:42 amSo i FINALLY got around to making JackBear a Great Coat.

Erin's mum lent me the sewing machine and i made the pattern up from looking at Jacks Dressing Gown.
The material was on sale in Spotlight which is what prompted me to spend 7 hours sitting in front of a sewing maching making it up as i went along!!!
(i havent done the button holes yet... but they will prob be done in another year... when i get around to it....!)
Anyway here is Jack in all of his glory...

Date: 2008-11-09 12:22 am (UTC)So, how did you go about doing it? I've been banging my head against the wall for a while trying to figure out how to make a Jack coat for my bear to cosplay (and now I need to make one for the lion I got and named Captain Jack) :) Because that looks quite good!
GREAT JOB!!!!!! :D

Date: 2008-11-09 12:50 am (UTC)I think Jacqueline shoved anything that was trying to masquerade as a plot into the cryogenics drawer ages ago.
Now I'm just trying to figure out how we're gonna stop the Nostrovite and save Rhea without untying her from the dessert cart. Because that would be dangerous :)

Date: 2008-11-09 05:11 pm (UTC)I wish I could make one, but BAB over here (US) doesn't have the gray trousers or the blue stripedy shirt, and I don't have any idea where to find tiny gray suspenders (braces).

saw how it all joined together, made the parts out of newspaper first, used sticky tape to stick it together to make sure it all fited JackBear, then when i was sure all the parts would be ok, i cut the material and sewed them al together.
took 7 hours in total.
