London Trip and Lee Meed Squeeee!!!! More Adventures of Capt Jack

London Trip aka The Adventures of Captain Jack and Lee Mead SQUEEEEEEE

Monday.

arrived in london at 6.20 am!!!!!!!!!!!!!! meeep! thats REALLY early!

Nettie is on the tube coming to meet us. but since our bus arrived early we got there before her!

i notice the bus station is situated on Ecclestone Place, and i get hyper, even at 6 in the morning,

i txt nettie sayign we were at the corner of Ecclestone place and Elizabeth Street, a few mins later she appears round the corner!

yea!

we walk to the bus stop and get the bus to Vauxhall and then walk to her house, we have bacon sandwiches and coffee for breckie, then we pump up the air bed and the 3 of us compleatly crash until about 11!

we then decide to explore London, and Nettie takes me and Beka on a walking tour of the South Bank.

its really pretty, we walk past the Houses of parlement, and Captain Jack wants his photo taken!

and then on past St Thomas' where Nettie works, and yes this is the hospital that was transported to the moon, in that insident with the Jadoon Platoon upon the Moon!

we then walk under Westminister Bridge, and Nettie spots a Space Invader, apparently these things are all over town and she never spotted one before so is really hyper that she found one now! right where she works too!

I get hyper as its westminster bridge and Rose and The Doctor ran over the bridge in the first episode with Ecclestone! Fantastic!

we walk on to the London Eye, past where there is a star wars display thingy going on, (sadly we didnt have enough time or money to go) and Jack wanted a pic of him with the stormtroopers.

we arrived at the ticket office for the London eye, and we spotted James Bond just loytering near the door, so we had a pic with him!

we then got tickets to go on the Wheel on thursday, and the guy who served us had a name tag saying JACK but his pass said Stuart... so i asked him about it... (he was cute, hense why i remember!!!) and i was only the second person to ever ask him why his two badges were different... hehh!

so we get tickets to MAdam Tussadus too, (going on thursday)

then there was some random street artists and one was dressed as Cpt Jack so the two Jacks had to have a pic!!!

And onwards we walk, past the Battersea Powerstation, (which was used as the cybermans conversion house in the parallel world) 
edit - we actually walked past the Bankside Powerstation which wasnt used in Dr who but is now the Tate Modern, ooops!!! good to know the difference thou! they both started with B!!!

and onwards to the wibbley wobbley bridge, aka the Milenium Bridge, and onwards to the Globe theatre, a compleate replica of the Globe where Shakespeare himself used to write for and perform there (as seen in Dr Who!!!!!!!!!!!!)

we got tickets to see merchant of venice on Friday night, and then went for a coffee at starbucks just next door...

there we heard ar realy random story as to why the toilet there didnt have a toilet seat anymore, apparetnly some had just walked off with it, the manager saw somone carrying a toilet seat around, but didnt think anything of it, just thinking the dude was a bit weird, and by the time they noticed the seat was missing the dude had long gone... tales of the weird!

after our little coffee break we walked over the wibbley wobbly bridge, which was no longer wibbley or wobbly...

over on to the north bank and back along towards Westminister bridge, we decided to find where the Adelphi Theatre was, so we found the end of the Strand, and decided to walk the entire length of it until we found big shiny letters saying JOSEPH.

huzzah mission complete, we go in to the box office to see if there is any tickets left for tonight so that Nettie could come also, and Fantastic, there is ONE ticket left for tonight! it was ment to be,

Nettie haistily buys it, and we are all hyper, and we go outside to drool at the posters!!!

then we walk along the strand to Whitehall road,( maybeee????)
and past 10 Downing street, 


and past Big Ben (where Jack wants a pic)

it turns 5pm and Big Ben doesnt strike much to our dissapointment, (he broken... i reckon they are still fixing it from when the Sliveen crashed a spaceship into it, )

Nettie says they are just doing maintance on it... (I like my theroy better hehehe)

and over the bridge, and back along the south bank to Vauxhall and Netties house. (jack wanting pics of him on Westminister Bridge (being the fanboy that he is...)

we get ready for Lee Stalking...er i mean our trip to the Theatre to see Joseph and his Technicolour Dream Coat. *SQUEEEEEEEEEE*

we have dinner, (meatballs and pasta a la Nettie, mmmmmmm fantastic!!!!!!!) and head out to the theatre

we walk... (my feet are getting a good outing!!!)

and finally its time for the Show to start!!!!!!!!!

i'm so hyper its unbelibable!!!!!!!!

its FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and i swear at some points i can see up his loincloth!!!!!! heheh!

the boy has fantastic legs!

i soooo need to see it again!!!

 

so after the show we wait at the front door to teh theatre so we can get autographs, cos we asked earlier if he actually comes out and signs stuff, adn we were told front door! sooo hyper,

we wait, and yea abotu 10 -15 mins later he appears, and at first he is handing out ready printed outographs, he hands me two so i pass one to Nettie, as Beka already has got one,

then he starts to sign programs etc, i had printed off two nice pretty pics and manage to wave them in his direction, and he looks up and smiles, " oh i like that pic!" i grin, it is a pic of him after all, he signs it and i thank him, and he smiles again, heheh! Lee Mead is soooooooooo fine! i managed to get a few random pics too! yea pretty, (3 good ones and 4 fuzzy ones)

we walk home, back along the riverside, and take some shiny pics of the river and wheel at night!

 

Tuesday.

went to London Zoo, fab! had a good day out,

i wont bore ya with a whole lot of random pics of animals,

we get back about 5.30ish and decide to go to Tesco so we can cook for Nettie,

we then get back to Nettie's adn watch Edward Sisscorhands, ( i hadnt seen it before, i likes)

and then watch Utopia as had told Nettie that Jack was in Dr Who, so we had to show her, (a good excuse as any to watch dr who, ) Nettie works at st Thomas' so that will be another excuse to watch Smith and Jones, (which we do watch on friday night)

 

Wednesday

when we awake nettie had already gone to work,

Me and beka have decided to go on a river boat trip, so we have breckie and head off down the south bank to find a jettie, we get to the London Eye adn get tickets from there to go to Greenwich and back again,

yea boat trip!

we have a lovley guide telling us what everything one the riverfront is, and he tells us lots of silly stories to keep us entertained,

we pass a boat that which is a replica of Cook 's ship, (maybe???) and he askes everyone if they had seen the Pirates of the carribean and most ppl nod, and he replies, well that ship has nothing to do with that film, but it does look pretty!

he then points out a building on the other side of teh river which looks like it is made entirley out of windows! and he points to it and says see that building there, its the headquaters off all the window cleanerss in London! ... well its not but it should be! it would keep the apprentice window cleaners working!!!

then we came to Tower bridge and the Tower,

and Eeore adn Jack have a lovley pic sitting on the boat

we go past the bridge adn tower adn on to all teh old wwarhouses and wharfs along the river, and he told us that WHARF stood for wear houses at river front, but as with everything else he said we wearnt sure to believe him or not!

he pointed out the pub where Charles Dickens spent a lot of his time, and where the Oliver Twist tale was set, with all the old warehouses and swampy bits were.

and onwards to Greenwich, past Carnary Wharf, aka Torchwood Tower, this was where the Cybermen and Dalek showdown happened in the battle of Canary Wharf, adn Rose was lost to a parallell dimension (sob)

then we finally arrived at Greenwich, and me and Beka walk up to the Observertory, we get waylaid at a cafe and have lunch! (most good! i had lassagne, )

then after being fed and watered we go on up the hill,

finally at the merridian line, we stand on the east and west himisphere divide! the 0 mark! yea! tis fun, Jack and Eeore also have their pic took too! but they arnt big enough to stand with a leg each side of the line, (but dont tell Jack he aint big enough to get his leg over something!!! he might take it personally!)







and yea, from the top of the hill we could see the Millenium Dome, (aka the new O2 Arena)

anywhay.... after mucking around at the meridian line we go back down to the dock to get the boat back up the river, 

on the way home I spoted a sign and i had to take a pic, obviously they kept getting lost trying to find their headquarters! tee hee hee

a good day was had,

then rushed back and went to LotR musical stage show in the evening, FANTASTIC!

and our tickets got upgraded to 2 rows infornt as they hadnt sold out that day, and there was a few spare rows infront of us. so they were upgrading tinternet booked tickets,

yea!

bloody hell SHelob was scary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! meep!!!!!!

and Pippin is still my fave hobbit! he had some fantastic oneliners! hehehe! hes just so lovable! yea go Pippin!

 

Thursday

we got on the tube adn went to madam tusudas

lots of famous ppl in wax, yea, and Brad Pitt had a lovley feelable ass! (tee hee!) i'd actually heard that they made it squidgy on purpose as ppl kept feeling it! hehe! i didnt just think ooh lets feel Brads ass!( mwaaa haaa haaa)

teh mose realistic ones were Leo DeCaprio adn Orlie, as at any moment i thought they would just turn round, but maybe that was wishfull thinking on my part! heheh

Jack had his photo with everyone, (as he likes to get around abit!!!  - just like the real one)

anyhooo Jack had a LOT of fun! heheh

then we met up with Peter for Lunch, yea, i hadnt seen him for ages. so we wander thru soho and have lunch at a cool cafe, mmm all you can eat! mmmm! 

And i told Pete about all Captain Jacks Exploits and he wanted a Pic with Jack too.

we then wandered on to The British Museam, where we met up with Nettie as she managed to get the arvo off! yea!

Peter left us to walk the dogs, and we wander around the british meseam, i kept my eye open for the Roman section for the Stone Rose statue, but alas i couldnt find a statue that was supposed to be the Goddess Fortuna, (oh i 'm too adicted to Dr WHo!!! hehehe)
but i did find this one... which was the closest i could get...

then nettie has to leave to go to a friend leaving do, and we say we'll meet her at the London Eye at 8.15.

then me adn Beka go back to NEtties to rest a little and charge camera batteries,

and walk along to the Eye for 8.15.

and WOW! the views from the Whel are spectacular! i really do need to go when its less dark, but WOW the lights of london strech for miles!!!!!!! i got some good night vision pics too!

and St Thomas' all shiny...

Friday,

we have a nice lie in, and then head off to meet Baka's Gran and to go find a tinternet cafe,

we wander round london, and go to Trafalgar Square, and Jack and Eeore have their pics took next to Nelson's Collum, and the lions,

and then we wander down to starbucks see if we can get my laptop to work on tinternet in there... but as its on Vista they havent updated it yet (sheeesh) and we spend a good 30 mins trying to get it to work ,then the starbucks guy phones the helpline adn he tells us they are busy upgrading their system so that vista ppl can use em, but they havent done that place yet! typical!

we then have some food adn go on to the Globe to see the Merchant of Venice,

Fantastic

Jack wants to go on the stage, so he has his pic taken on the stage, (he hyper too)

the Globe is open top and very breifly there is a few drops of rain but luckly it doenst actually pour down, so us pesants in the cheep seat (as in standing room at the stage front) dont get wet! phew!

the play finishes and we walk back along south bank.. (dude we have done so much walking this week!!!!!!!!!!)

At Netties we decide that nettie needs to see her hospital on TV so we watch Smith and Jones, she says the Hospital in in the right spot on the river, but they have combined two hospitals to make Hope Hospital,

St Thomas's and St Guyes (the tower black hospital) she said it was quite clever how they did it!

i think we have now got Nettie rather fond of Dr Who, go us!!

and so endith a fab week...

Saturday

tell a lie, On the saturday we went to London Film and Comic Con, (report is here)

and then endith our Fab week!!

yeah! LotR was fabulus! i really like london, and Jack liks london too!
i dont think LoTR is sold out! so you should be able to get tickets no worries! tis fun!!!

the guy who played Legolas had a lovley singing voice! GUH!!!
